To start the students' research efforts about ecosystems, they were placed into teams to develop questions that would need to be asked and further investigated. They needed to determine what questions were necessary to find the ultimate answer to why it is necessary to protect the natural environment. All postings were reviewed by Technology Teachers and ultimately consolidated into the most commonly-asked questions. They led to topical question 1: What are the characteristics of each ecosystem?
